If Only You Pray…

In my homeland – England.

It is true
– really, at the very depth of the soul, we are all looking for something.
– we are all fighting, throughout this weird and wonderful life.
People will deny it – it’s ‘not cool‘ to get emotional, to be connected, to talk of love, feelings,
longings of spirit and the great divine.

But when you have a soul like mine, regardless – you are moved.
You cannot rest. Because something strong is pulling, magnetic, at your insides – moving you, with a will all of its own – telling you, always – to go. to seek. to find.

Well… really… we’re all like this.
It’s just that most of us don’t stand still long enough… to feel it.

Life is so quick these days – so fast moving – everywhere lights, spectacle and speed
– nothing is ever big enough, quick enough, bright enough.
We’re switching off.
Losing connection… losing faith,
in the world around us, and the world inside us.

But remember – “you are the universe, expressing itself as a human, for a little while”    – Eckhart Tolle.

Nothing is constant. Nothing is set in stone.
You may think you’re tied down – too busy – have too much responsibility
to stop, to think, to change
– but the workings of your mind can be rewritten.
You have the power – to throw it all away – to breathe out…

To just be.

Forget what they told you – forget who you think you are and what you think society wants you to be.

Let it all go.
Get down on your knees.
Hold your hands to the sky.
Close your eyes… and listen.

Can you hear it?
Is it unfamiliar?
Or is this how life is really meant to be?

…But what is that sound?

It is silence. It is the noise of silence.
And in the dark, in the quieting of the mind, the soul can speak…
And you will realise…

You can be free.
You can have it all.
