The Light of Song – A Poem

I see the light of song,
So I’ll break this night
And lose my clothes ‘n’ all.
Won’t bite the apple,
Because I can be strong,
But I’d take your pride
And I’d take your eyes and all.
I see the light of song.

Happiness will come to all.
If you just let go
Your demons they will fall.
See me, I’ve found my way,
So I’ll take this road now
I am not afraid.

And I’ll go,
Down to the sea,
To scatter your remains
From the days that we were free.
I’ll wash away the fall,
These tears that cannot be,
For I seek the light of song,
And I will be
Gone.
I see the light of song.

You set me free
Even though you say we’re not the same.
You took my hand, said, James,
I can take away your pain.
And if our journey on
Cannot always be arranged
At least we danced together
From a time,
You and I,
Along the way.

And Lord knows
Maybe there will be such time
For you and I
To free-fall and dive.
But I know these seasons,
They rise, and they fall.
And I will hold you forever,
In my heart, my soul.
I will hold you forever
In the light of song.

And I’ll go,
Down to the sea,
To scatter our remains
From the days that we were free.
I’ll wash away the fall,
These tears that cannot be,
For I seek the light of song,
And I will be
Gone.

I see the light of song.

  1. The song of light
    not dull nor bright
    it illuminates the vision
    reduces confusion
    makes aware
    able to dare
    to question
    to reveal
    am not afraid
    never do i steal
I am the voice that sings the song of light
even when it is night 🙂
